Greenville, S.C. is as lively as ever. Once known to be “the textile capital of the world” in the 20th century, Greenville is now a charming Southern city with high-end apartments, an ever-evolving, walkable downtown of museums, performing and visual arts centers, restaurants of all types, and great shopping. It’s gained popularity due to its ranking as one of the top places to reside today. The Reedy River flows right through the heart of downtown and is used for tourism and recreational use today; however, during the 20th century, it was surrounded by textile mills. Greenville, SC offers the benefits of a metropolitan city while also being laid-back and relaxed. The way to get to know Greenville is to see it for yourself but I’ve taken some photos of the best of the best in this lovely Dixie city. Let’s eat, shop, and explore Greenville!
